Community Gardens of Oshkosh

The Community gardens are CLOSED and will reopen in the spring of 2017

Sherman Road Community Gardens plot

Within the City of Oshkosh is a large community garden located off of County Highway A and Sherman Road. The Sherman Road Community garden plots are an inexpensive, convenient way for people to experience gardening. In particular, this is a great fit for residential renters or homeowners with inadequate yard space. Sherman Road Community Garden plots cost $15 for a 20’ x 40’ plot. In addition, we offer a limited number of smaller plots (20’ x 20’) for people who would still like to garden, but may not be able to keep up the maintenance of a larger plot. These plots cost $7.50 each.

Open registration for Sherman Road Community Gardens begins in late April and continues until all plots are full. The gardens open in early May, depending on the weather.

Registration forms will be available on this page in early March.

Walk-in registrations are accepted at the UW-Extension office, James P. Coughlin Center at 625 E. County Rd. Y in Oshkosh between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
