To attend one of the trips listed below, youth must submit their completed application (includes resume, cover letter, answering two questions and two reference letters) to the Winnebago County
UW-Extension office by October 31, 2016 and interview on November 13, 2016. Delegates will then be selected by the interview panel.

American Spirit Experience
Citizenship Washington Focus
Citizenship Washington Focus (CWF) is a 4-H leadership program for high school youth, ages 15-19, from across the country. Every summer thousands of young people stay at the National 4-H Conference Center, near Washington, D.C., to participate in this week-long program. Approximately 150 Wisconsin 4 H Youth are selected to attend this leadership program held at the National 4-H Center. Participants learn the importance of civic and social responsibilities as they relate to the development of better citizens and leaders. The week consists of participatory workshops, speakers, committee work, field trips and social events.
National 4-H Conference
National 4-H Congress“Passport to Excellence”
Where: Atlanta, Georgia
When: November 24 – 28, 2017
Cost: Approx $1,100
National 4-H Congress is the flagship event of the 4-H program. The Congress provides youth with a quality educational and cross-cultural experience that exceeds what any state independently provides. It is designed to address the needs and issues of youth while helping to develop capable, competent, and caring citizens.About 75 youth representing University of Wisconsin Extension-4-H Youth Development attend this annual event.
Where: U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama
When: April 20-24, 2017
Cost: Cost is approximately $550
4-H Missions in Space program, known as Space Camp, is a fun-filled weekend for middle school youth at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center where participants:
•Complete a simulated Space Shuttle mission
•Experience training simulators
•Tour the U.S. Space & Rocket Center
•Learn about becoming an astronaut
•4-H members in grades 6-8 with a maximum age of 15 at time of trip.
•Must be currently enrolled and carry county approval through time of trip.
•Enrollment in 4-H Aerospace project is not required.

Wisconsin 4-H & Youth Conference
Where: UW Madison Campus
When: June 26-29, 2017
Cost: Approx. $235
Approximately 600 youth attend this educational event in Madison each summer. Participants take part in educational seminars and assemblies and meet people from across Wisconsin. They are encouraged to take what they learn and share it with others in their home community.
